Dashain is the most famous and the greatest festival of Hindus. It's celebrated in the month of the Ashwin or Kartik every year. It last of fifteen days. The preparation of this festival begins about a month earlier. On the occasion, dirt is swept away, new clothes bought and food are prepared. Houses are painted and scrubbed, etc. The children look very happy. All people are look very happy. They get together at the place where different kind of swings are installed. this great festival of the Hindus begins from 'Ashwin shukla part which called ghatasthapana to fifteen day. this is the day of sawing jamara. Our society not it's. Then after seven days come phoolapatee. It's days goodness Durga Pooja. Then next day mahashtami and mahanawoni. then ten days is called Vijaya Dashami which is the most important day of the festival. On this day senior person as relation offer blessings to their juniors for the gradual progress, prosperity and long lives sticking Ashata on their forehead and flower on Head.
The rest of the days till purnima we pass in merriment, relation and visiting relative.
